Company History

University of Nottingham

Prior to forming Manor we had been employed by the University of Nottingham for many years, a relationship we were pleased to rekindle in February 2003, since this time we have completed many projects.

These projects are as varied in design as they are in size, ranging from additional sockets and lighting points, to large emergency lighting schemes and Hall’s of Residence rewires.

Gedling Borough Council

We have been working on behalf of Gedling Borough Council (through Ian Williams Building Contractors) since June 2003 and have to date carried out in excess of 3500 projects on their behalf.

Nottingham NHS

Another friendship was renewed in August 2002 when we were successful in being included onto the NHS approved contractors list and have since completed various projects.

An indication of the trust in our ability was apparent when in 2005 we were instructed to carry out the refit of the facilities estate office.

East Midlands Ambulance Services

We have carried out numerous projects for E.M.A.S, initially through the NHS Facilities office but now directly with Beechdale Headquarters.

Just like the NHS we were contracted in 2005 to carry out the refit within EMAS Estates Managers offices.

St. Mary the Virgin Parish Church Nottingham.

Even from the very beginning we have been entrusted with electrical installations within prestigious buildings. Whilst sub-contracting in 2002 we installed the lighting installation within the church.

This installation caused many a design headache as the installation had to be in keeping with the building structure and after all the church was founded before the domesday book and the 1st edition IEE wiring regulations.

T&G B&Q Warehouse

In 2003 we were approached and asked to carry out the electrical inspection within T&G’s 333K sq ft warehouse at Grantham. Although the warehouse was in operation 24/7 with fully automated cranes, through planning we were able to keep disruption to a minimum.
